Why Virtual Teams Fail

What can you do to ensure that your virtual team succeeds? In this post for Web Worker Daily, I explore five potential pitfalls faced by any virtual team including the Square Peg in a Round Hole Syndrome:

Not everyone is cut out to be a virtual worker. Not everyone has the personality to work completely alone, apart from the team, nor has the ability to be focused and motivated to do work without the looming presence of a manager over one’s shoulder.

Having worked virtually since 2003, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of virtual teams. These are some of my lessons learned.
